Clark Gable in relationships: The ABCs of Clark Gable's relationships.

Clark Gable responds very strongly to the emotional tone and atmosphere around him, and can be dominated by his fluctuating and unpredictable moods. Gable often appears irrational to others because he cannot always explain the reason or source of his feelings. Anyone who lives with Clark Gable must accept his ups and downs and appreciate Clark's need for times of withdrawal.

Clark Gable is also very sympathetic and understands the unspoken feelings and needs of others. Clark Gable takes slights and rebuffs very personally and though he may forgive a transgression by a friend or loved one, he never forgets it.

Clark Gable has a sympathetic nature and instinctively reaches out to people in need of help. Gable also has a deeply ingrained tendency to want to improve or "fix" other people's lives, which can be annoying to the person who has no desire to be changed or "helped" in this way. For Clark, affection and caring must be expressed in tangible acts or service of some kind.

He needs love, affection, nurturing and enjoys being pampered - all of which is fine, as long as Clark Gable is willing to give as well as receive the attention and "babying". Clark has a rather childish dependency on loved ones, which can make him cling to them, or be very uncomfortable with any conflict that could conceivably lead to separation. Creating a loving family is certainly a challenge for Clark - one that can be enormously satisfying if he can achieve it, and a source of great sadness if he cannot.

Some rather acute fears of being excluded, rejected, left out in the cold or separated from loved ones can make Clark Gable either extremely cautious about getting close to people or clingy toward whoever gives him any warmth or security. Clark Gable tends to withhold and clamp down on many of his feelings and craves nurturing and security, perhaps feeling that they are unacceptable or will never be satisfied. Learning to be open and trust others to nurture him is important to him. His earliest years, especially Gable's relationships with his mother, will determine whether Clark Gable will overcome his fears or retreat behind a mask of self-sufficiency and indifference.

In addition to Clark's rather introverted, serious or self-contained side, he has a wild streak and urge for emotional freedom that breaks through erratically. Clark Gable craves both stability and excitement, and the conflict between these two impulses can make Gable rather tense and irritable. However, they can also balance each other out. His freer and unpredictable side will now be described.

Clark Gable tends to have strange quirks, idiosyncrasies, or domestic habits, and he may feel that he does not fit in with "normal" people. These could be endearing eccentricities, or truly outlandish tastes and behavior. Establishing a steady routine and rhythm in his life and relationships would be very beneficial but may not be easily achieved. Ideally Clark Gable can create a unique lifestyle that affords him a lot of personal space, freedom, and flexibility to follow his own somewhat erratic rhythms - while at the same time providing some order and consistency. There is a current of emotional discontent or restlessness within Clark also, which may be reflected in unstable personal relationships of the on again/off again variety. Clark Gable craves change and excitement whether he realizes it consciously or not.

He is inclined to identify duty and happiness with each other. Self-disciplined and realistic, Clark Gable expects very little. Once he has found his mate, Clark Gable will be faithful, self-sacrificing and strongly attached to his partner.

He is easily influenced by his environment and tends to get depressed when things do not go the way he expected. Relationships are not easy for Clark Gable; he could be a recluse, avoiding most contact with others.

He is definitely not one to wear his heart on his sleeve. Clark Gable cares very much about others' opinions and craves love and appreciation as much as anyone - however one would never know it from Gable's reserved and seemingly detached demeanor. Casual, superficial relationships do not interest Clark at all. He is cautious and serious about love and really desires deep, genuine, lasting relationships. Clark Gable is old-fashioned about courtship and love relationships, and will remain faithful to his loved one in good times and in bad.

Clark Gable may be attracted to older persons who are emotionally mature and reliable and can provide the security Clark desires.

Clark Gable often hides his affection, or finds his feelings difficult to express or get across to the person he loves. Being openly affectionate and trusting often does not seem safe to Clark. He may feel his love will not be appreciated or reciprocated. Clark Gable may get involved in secret love relationships or fall in love with a person who is quite unavailable to him. Love and sacrifice often seem to go hand in hand for Clark Gable - having to give something up to be with the one he loves, or having to relinquish some person or some aspect of an important love relationship.
